Arena di Verona + Hotel Event Index Verona Italy
Verona is known worldwide as the famous location for Shakespeare’s tale of two young lovers Romeo and Juliet. After Rome, Verona is Italy’s best reserved Roman city with a Roman amphitheatre, gates, bridges and theatres all providing prominent symbols of past grandeur. On these ancient foundations visitors will find an ornately decorated and well preserved city with spectacular frescoed churches and houses. Of course, there is much more to Verona than its well preserved Roman heritage. The gracious Piazza Bra, just outside the Arena is the perfect place to while away the hours people watching and enjoying an early evening aperitif before the evening activities start in the world famous Arena. The opera festival in Verona is a truly unique experience. It is a continuation of a fascinating tradition that goes back over eighty years where opera, ballet and concerts have been performed on an enormous stage in what stars from around the world have called “a dream venue”.
